The real selling starts with the first 'No'"
Somebody repeated this old sales cliche to me last week. It's stuck in my brain because it is one of those examples of "old school selling" that just seems to have stuck around even though it seems completely wrong to me. It's the sales equivalent of an "old wives tale".

If you analyze this statement logically, you pretty quickly see that it's wrong. "The real selling starts with the first 'No'" This statement implies that you want your prospect to object to your offerings. Your goal is somehow to get as many "no's" as you can, then you can start selling for real.

My experience is quite the opposite. Sure, there are ways to handle objections when they arise but I certainly don't want them. The real selling starts on day one when you figure out the basic value proposition of your company or offering. It continues as you research and understand your customers' industries and businesses.

When you are prospecting, or sitting in a meeting with a prospect, you ask questions based on having a deep understanding of their industry, company and individual situation. In this scenario you don't get many "No's". The prospect respects you for doing your homework and responds to your questions. You Suck at Being Judges

Last night on American Idol one of the contestants told the judges they �sucked at being judges�. I played that scene over and over in my mind and I thought about the attitude he displayed. First off he wasn�t a great singer, and he made funny faces as he sang, but he made the first cut �You�re going to Hollywood Baby�! He was in the opportunity of a life time! Just because he didn�t make it to the next level, he changed the whole experience into a bad one, instead of enjoying his success.

What about you? A lot of you have made The SpiderWeb System a great experience. Others are having a hard time making it work for them. Unlike the American Idol contestant that has to go home, you can keep working.

The main principle I found in this experience is: The journey is the real experience not the destination. Enjoy every moment, even the hard ones, because in the end if we keep moving forward that is our real reward.

Q. I thought the Spiderweb Marketing System was free!! Why do I have to get a domain from Global Domains?
A. The Free Spiderweb Marketing System IS free, they just recommend that you get a domain from GDI (10$) so that you will benefit greatly from referring people into the system

Q. My domain isn't being forwarded to Spiderweb, what do
I do?
A. Go to the stage 6 capture page setup and click on the " I'm done, save" button again. This refreshes your domain
with the Spiderweb servers and should cause your site to be up and running with a few hours. If the problem continues, login to your GDI account, select the "domains" tab, then select " change dns", then select " domain forwarding", then enter in your default referral link for Spiderweb in the url box.

The X's represent your Spiderweb username, then select "update". Your domain will then direct right to your Spiderweb referral link within 10 minutes or so.

Q. Why aren't any of my prospects past stage 3?
A. That's as far as they can go. Stage 2 means that they entered in their first name and email address, stage 3 means that they joined Spiderweb and retrieved their temporary password from the email sent to them.
