Becoming successful with an online or off line business takes effort and realization. The first thing someone must do is realize that very highly profitable franchises like McDonalds, Subway, Great Clips, Taco Bell, Midas Muffler, Burger King, Coca Cola, Dunkin Donuts, Wendy�s and many other business franchises all have a business plan for those who purchase their franchises.

Most businesses that are run out of the house also have business plans; most are Very Simple 3 Step Business Plans, easy for anyone to follow because everything is already in place. When mentioning home businesses, the company, or franchise business you purchase, does 95% of the work for you. There are usually no large outlays of cash, no inventory to stock, no business experience necessary, no college degree necessary, and no loans to take out. Also you do not need an office to rent.

In truth there are only three (3) things a professional business person needs to do in order to start the ball rolling:

Order Products each month or better yet join the company�s Auto-Ship Program.
Add fresh people to your group every month. The best ways is through some sort of Co-op Advertising Program, lead generating system, or through search engine optimization. The later is where Google takes over.
Persuade the new members that have joined your group to follow your pattern.

....... That's it!!! Can owning a professional business franchise be any easier than that? Now, don't fool yourself. Doing very little or zilch produces very little or zilch. You will have to put in the time to endorse your franchise system, but you will not have to kill yourself trying.

How Much Time Do You Have to Invest in a Franchise Business

While searching Google today for articles on franchises, I found an interesting article on Franchise Gator, titled Top 10 Business Franchises For People On The Go!. I always enjoy reading articles about business franchises, after all, that is one of my specialties.

The author of the article is talking about how busy people are now-a-days, and they don�t have enough time to devote to a regular job, let alone a secondary business.

"And once you select a franchise niche that you find interesting, how much time will its actual day-to-day operation required?...Between full-time business demands, family responsibilities, errands, shopping and community or social obligations, finding the time to choose and run a franchise business can seem daunting or even impossible. Do you have enough time to devote to a business franchise? How much time are you willing to spend getting a franchise business up and running? Will you be able to devote the time required to get a franchise business running smoothly? These are just some of the questions a professional business person has to ask before investing in a franchise business. Doing the research and laying the ground work, not to mention training, takes time.

There are a lot of professional business franchises that still take a lot of time, even the ones listed in the article on Franchise Gator. Franchise System for the Business Professional

I was reading some posts in a forum on the Internet about franchises, and which franchise systems seemed to be the most professional, the best, and the most affordable. I came across this one post and I had to reply to the writer. Below is an excerpt of my comments:

Lance, in your post, you mention that "the best categories for profitability seem to be service franchises, auto franchises and unique categories." I agree with that statement with one exception, finding qualified technicians. Finding skilled, well trained technicians, in the "information world" that seems to have enveloped us, is quite difficult. We all know that employees (especially skilled technicians) can make or break a business.

When spending money on a franchise system that could provide a professional business person with a nice income, I'm not sure service franchises, and/or auto franchises should be where the franchisee should spend their money. As a former auto/truck business owner of twenty-one years, I know how hard it is to find qualified technicians, one of the reasons I sold the business.

Although I did not own a franchise business, I was a sole-proprietor, I still know how fast the vehicles, machinery, and/or equipment is changing. So spending money on a franchise, and then finding individuals to repair the equipment, will not be an easy task, hence, my feeling about purchasing a franchise in the service industry.
