Home Based Business....It's NOT for everyone!

Many individuals today are considering an alternative to the normal 9 to 5 jobs that most of us have come to accept as the norm. With the 2008 Summer Olympics starting in a couple of days, I sit and wonder what makes 100�s and 1,000�s of athletes from around the world converge on one location to compete to be the best in their field. Would you believe it�s a medal made of Gold on a colorful strap around their neck that they will probably never wear again in public once they leave that venue. Why would anyone work for years, 5, 10, 15 hours per day for weeks, months and years just to receive a medal worth just a few hundred dollars of gold as a prize? They could have worked a normal job and saved their money and been able to buy more gold than is in the medal and been able to enjooy the Gold jewelry every single day.

These individuals are driven by desire....to be the best in the world. Each one knows when he or she goes to these events they can be eliminated by someone who is better than they are. What drives them to be so successful? They have a dream, a vision if you will. They are focused, determined to be the best. Their success just don�t happen, their success is a result of a daily thought process of visualizing a goal, commiting to make it happen and practicing every day for hours on end, doing the same thing over and over until it becomes second nature in their thought process and actions.

Getting started on the right foot....and learning the process of marketing your business opportunity on the internet is vitally important to your success! Learn some simple yet effective tips that will accelerate your learning process!

Most of us have been through the process of searching the web for that outstanding program that will make us millions of dollars. You know....the one where we can than retire in the islands and drink those fancy island drinks. The program that is the most wonderful thing since sliced bread! The one that you don�t have to advertise, make phone calls or do any recruiting. That type of poppycock....insults my intelligence.

How much money have you wasted on this kind of garbage? Everyone I talk to has been thru the same ridiculous procedure. I was in a meeting the other day and one of the individuals in the meeting had spent over $10,000 buying junk programs that was hyped to make them rich quick. If you don�t remember anything else here today, remember this one statement....There is NO legitimate get rich scheme that will make you rich overnight!! It takes work and dedication to be successful on the internet. Everything else is a lie.

Just making a fancy website with a lot of flash and hyped up content will ruin your chances of success on the internet. The search engines are not interested in flash, pictures and junk content. They are interested in one thing....and that is good keywords, and relevant content about your product or services being offered. By adding good content on a daily basis, search engine like Google will push your site to higher and higher positions. I reviewed a survey the other day, stating that 78% or more of the people who are doing a search for a product or service will Google the topic, business or individual that they are researching. Most people won�t go past page 2 of Google to research their interest. If you�re not positioned on page 1 or 2 of the search engines�you may never be found on the internet.

By consistently writing new articles with good keywords and content, Google will position you in their rankings so that people will find you quicker than if you just have a lot of glitz and glamour on your site. I reviewed a site this morning for a potential client who couldn�t understand why his site (which was well designed for looks) was going nowhere. When I reviewed the source code....there was NO keywords....NO meta tag description....and NO links. Plus there had been NO new content added since the site was built in June of 2005. It doesn�t take a take a rocket expert to figure out what�s wrong with that picture. However, if you don�t have the expertise to investigate the source, how would anyone ever know to look at the inner structure of the web site. You wouldn�t. Without proper training you probably don�t have a clue where to look either.

Most individuals don�t know how to go about building an effective, search engine friendly site. They don�t know where to turn to get the answers and learn the process. My name is Larry L. Writing articles is sometimes an arduous task that we all despise. Consistently writing articles with keyword specific content and posting those articles on the internet is the key to successful marketing. Individuals surfing on the internet are looking for information about a product or service they may be interested in at that particular moment.

Visualize success in your life.....and it will happen.

Have you ever dreamed of having a successful online business? Most of us have, at one time or another. However, statistics show that less than 5% of individuals using the internet actually make money. This computes to 95% of the people who are online....don't make money. They are spending their money on junk....get rich quick schemes. They are chasing a rainbow....to find that the mythical pot of gold doesn't exist.

Why do so many people fail on the internet? It�s really a simple answer. They believe all the hype of getting filthy rich, then spending the rest of their life laying on the beach on some beautiful island and never working again. Be realistic folks. Commitment, Planning and Writing to Win

Writing articles�.and publishing good keyword rich content on a consistent daily basis is imperative to earn online success. It takes a commitment to write an article that will have new meaning and effectiveness day after day. The more you write, the better you become at writing. Learn to write....by writing. Write as if you are talking to someone, and your own style will become powerful.

Having a strong Spiritual foundation makes this process manageable for me. The first thing I do everyday....read the Bible for at least 30 minutes with no interruptions. After my meditation....my mind is clear and in gear, and refreshed for my work activities for the day. Put first thing first in your life. The rest will fall into place like a puzzle.

Have a regular time slot for research....writing....and posting articles. This must be a top priority in your daily activities. One of the biggest pitfalls is to put off your writings until later in the day. Not writing the first thing in the morning, results in the failure to write at all. Commit to write early in your daily routine, otherwise all the other cares of life take over your time. Without consistent new content being written and published daily....your marketing endeavors will cease almost immediately.

Every time this part of my daily structure is interrupted....my day is out of step....for the rest of that day. My next step is to get my important e-mails out of the way. Don"t spend time on reading junk emails. Stay focused. Take care of business by making a list of events that need to be accomplished. Put activities in order of importance. Stay focused on that project until the project is complete. Then go to the next project.

Devote some time during your daily routine to learn something new, and then phase that new idea or procedure into a regular part of your daily routine. After a few days that new idea becomes an unconscious part of your daily activities.

If I don�t follow this simple plan, I become stagnant in my efforts to stay focused on the procedures and routines I have established. It takes discipline every day to keep the mind sharp and focused. If you don�t stay focused....its like a dog chasing his tail. He can�t catch his tail and he gets dizzy and has to quit this stupid act. May we all learn from that simple example! Stop going in circles and focus on the goals you establish for yourself. Stop chasing rainbows and get rich quick schemes.

The key to your success lies firmly in your hands. You can flounder all over the internet and waste a lot of money....looking to find a Magic Button. Forget it my friend....there is no such thing. It takes effort to make it happen. Commit the time necessary to make it happen. Each of us is different and our learning curve is sometimes challenged....however....we each need to sit down and talk to ourselves and evaluate exactly where we stand today and where we want to go in the future. Where do you want to go? Are you happy with your accomplishment of today? Re-evaluate your position and make the changes necessary to accomplish what is important in your life. Without good direction you will loose your way quickly. We will end up like the dog chasing his tail, right back where you started from. Dizzy....confused and the need for a plan....which you still have to implement. Stop wasting time and money and "get r done".

Make a plan�.follow that plan, until the plan needs some adjustment. Patience is a virtue. Rome was not built in a day....neither will your success on the internet be happen overnight....be patient. Don�t be afraid to ask for help if you run into an obstacle or loose your way. There are individuals who are trained and willing to help you succeed in your online marketing challenges.

Pictures are nice to look at, however, make sure those pics are relative to your business opportunity.

When you get the proper title for your business and website�..get the website built and post it to the internet�..then your next question is probably�.�when will I get my first hit to my website?" No one knows. You can have the best looking website on the internet with all the glitter, flash and loaded with jokes�.famous sayings�.and all kind of other hype and still not see any results. What is the problem then? You must promote your site to the search engines before anyone will see your site.

Hand indexing your URL to the search engines is the quickest way to get recognition on the internet. With Google, MSN and Yahoo hand submission is the way to get your site moving to page one position with these fine search engines. Statistics show that most people when searching the internet for a particular product or services will not go past page one or two on any of these search engines. Not everyone can be number one, however, the higher position you can attain, the better your chances for someone viewing your opportunity will be.

Thanks Butch Hamilton-SEO Master for your unselfish time, training, sharing, and being patience with me and teaching me such valuable information that will help me make my marketing career successful.

Yesterday, I had one of the most memorable days of my life. I was privilideged to visit with Butch Hamilton and is lovely wife Debbie. I was traveling cross country on Interstate 40 and remembered that Butch and his wife lived somewhere in the panhandle of Texas. I looked up Butch's personal information and called and we set up an appointment to meet at his home. What an exciting experience!

For those of you that don't know who Butch Hamilton is.....you should Google him! You will find that Butch is without a doubt the most notable SEO Master on the internet. The first 40 page or more is about who Butch Hamilton really is, and writings that will literally blow your mind with valuable marketing information. I have been privileged to be a part of Butch's trainings since July of 2007. I learned an incredible amount of information, strategies, ideas, secrets plus how to market on the internet. Most people today are out only for themselves. I count it an honor and a privlide to be affiliated with such an incredible man who have worked so hard to become the leader he is today. Every single day, I receive countless emails telling me how to make tons of money on the internet. Most of these offerings are so phony, you would think anyone could tell that the opportunity was nothing more than hype and lies. Anyone in their right mind would know that you can't join a program and do no work, make no phone calls, and in 30-60-90 days, retire to a beautiful island and lay on the sunny beach all day. Lead Generation can be accomplished by writing good relative content in articles!....Learn to write....by writing! Write from the heart....put in text....good relavent content in the same style as you would talk!

Writing articles with good relevant content is imperative if you want to get your name and your business opportunity out on the internet. Most people think they can't write....don't worry about that. All you have to do is write like you talk. We all have our own way of talking.....thus we all have our own way of writing. Sit down for a moment and think of a subject that interest you. Now start talking and as you talk...take some notes. When you have talked for about two or three minutes.....then stop talking and refer back to your notes. Each point that you thought was important enough to write down as an important item you were talking about is more than likely a keyword or keyword phrase. Your article does NOT have to be lenghty....sometimes two or three paragraphs is all you need to get your point across.
Now look at the words or keyword phrases in your notes.....open up your favorite text editor like notepad....start writing what ever you are thinking about. When you get done you will probably have 300 words or more in the little article you just wrote. Check your spelling with the spell-check in your system. Read and re-read what you just wrote....make any changes that you feel would make your article more understandable ....then prepare to publish you article on the internet.
Give your article a title after you have written your article. Never choose a title and then try to write regarding the title. Write first....then give it your article a title. You may never win a Pulitzer prize for your writing.....no problem. If you don't expect a Pulitzer prize....then you won't be disappointed. The purpose of writing is to get your name and your business opportunity out there on the internet and position yourself or opportunity high in the rankings with Google and other search engines. If you have a favorite blog or forum you enjoy reading.....then sign up in one of them and post what you just wrote to that blog or forum.

Blogging is extremely effective when promoting your name or your business opportunity on the internet. Regardless of how busy I may be on any given day, I will always write at least one article per day about something. I write a great deal about leads and lead generation. I don't try to sell my product at all.....I merely share relative content about the features and benefits of what I am trying to promote. I always make sure my name, title, phone number, fax number, email, URL of my website and any other pertinent information is included in my closing tag. I want people to be able to get hold of me for any additional information they may have. Get away from the idea that you have to advertise..... you don't have to advertise. People are bombarded with all kind of junk mail and false promises every day....if you are like me, we are all tired of it. Give the interested individual good quality information and then let them decide if your particular product or opportunity is for them. Statistics show that an individual will look at information about a product on the average of seven times before they make a commitment to purchase. Good information is what interested people want to read.

To emphasis this point...In a recent survey conducted by the National Association of Realtors revealed that less than 5% of buyers of real estate found ads helpful in selecting a house.
Advertising focuses on a "product or service"; where marketing involves target marketing consumers who are interested in changing their lifestyle and participating in the opportunity provided by what you are offering.

Seven steps on how to promote your website on the internet....by Butch Hamilton--SEO Master

Recently I was priviledged to set in on one of Butch Hamiltons classes and listened to the way to build a business on the internet. Below is Butch's formula in it's entireity.

Promoting a website is much easier than one might think. Using a procedure...a system...lends great benefit the user. Articles are written daily about what to do...and what not to do to gain top positions on Google, but the bottom line is...with the right system...and the ability to follow that system, anyone can obtain the positioning desired.
Butch Hamilton, well known search engine optimization specialist, shares his secrets here...
Butch Hamilton says, "I have developed a system, a routine, if you will for effective promoting on the internet. I am not an internet guru, I am just a man who knows how to obtain top positions on the Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the other major search engines. My plan, when followed to the letter, empowers individuals to gain top positions. My plan, which I consistently use every day is as follows:
1. I carefully consider what keyword phrase that I want to land on in the search engines. This is a very simple process. Simply type in on the Google search. I take a close look at the top positions of that search...and I may even take a look at the top websites there. This gives me a good idea on how to approach the project.
2. I write a press release about the subject I am promoting. Now consider, that a press release must be written in third person, and you must never do an ad. The purpose of the press release is to simply give some good relevant information about the website promoted. After completion, I always place the link for the press release into Google. This way I am assured of the release being indexed.
3. I go to WebTrafficConnection and build at least three optimized web pages. I will use the basic content of my press release as my content for the optimized pages. WebTrafficConnection is an optimized website system which I use consistently every day to gain top positioning. These websites are built in 8 easy steps. No html knowledge is required. You will pick keywords, pick a website title, place the promote url in, you even have the ability to place a podcast in the website very easily (no one on the internet today has this simplified capability) and then drop that url into the WTC-submit (which is our own method of hand submitting urls to Google.)
4. I now go to the WTC Classified ad section. Here, I will place a series of classified ads (these are for the search engine spiders) and drop the links into the WTC submit as well. Consistent use of the WTC Classified ads, brings more inbound links to the individual marketer, increasing their link popularity. Yes, it is that easy!
5. I now go to the WTC Free Link Exchange Program and place my links, all my links for all my opportunities there. We have a very powerful link exchange program...it is very effective for increasing the link popularity for your websites.
6. I now travel to my Veretekk System. Veretekk is a great internet marketing system. I am a trainer for the system, and I know how to correctly use it to market my urls as well. Placing small classified ads in the 1-Family traffic portal, is just one more way to increase your link popularity. I do thousands of these ads. If you,re not willing to make a commitment to acquire the proper materials you might as well hang up your plans, and send your computer back to the company. Don't waste your time or anyone else time if your not willing to make the commitment and sacrifices....that may be necessary to build your business.
Acquiring the proper tools is critical to your success. You don't start your project with only a hammer! You may need a saw....a ruler....a square....you may have to acquire some nails to get the job done. No single item in itself will get the job done, however, without one of those ingredients you may never see your dreams come true. What ever the tools you need to accomplish your goals, you must be committed early in the process to acquire those items. Maybe some of these tools can be upgraded later, however, you must be totally committed to spend the time and the money to purchase these tools and then learn how to use those tools. If you have the best tools money can buy, and don't know how to use them, you will never....I repeat NEVER....see the success in your business opportunity you deserve. Only you can make that happen.
Last but definitely not least is the amount of time, blood, sweat, tears, confusion, staying up late and committing to get the job done. If anyone tells you....just sign up and you will become a millionaire within a short time....don't believe it. Sure we all like to think we've found that magic bullet....the easy button....wealth in a flash or whatever those scammers develop and hype to for you to participate in. If it was that easy....don't you think their would be room for you in such a program? NOT!! The promoters family....friends....and a limited few would be able to take advantage of such a lucrative offer. Don't you think the scammers (spammers) would want to hire a hundred or even thousands to work for them and keep all the profit, rather than offer you a piece of the pie....to someone they don't even know. Don't fall for this type of "opportunity"....you won't make a cent. That's why only less than 5% of all the people on the internet make money!
I hope I haven't painted a dark picture....or discouraged you away from your dreams. That's not my intent! To achieve marketing success, one must take into consideration the potential clients need for your product or service. If the product is a far out gizmo, that only a selected few will respond to.....then the chance of a positive outcome on you marketing campaign is kind of a waste of your time, efforts and money.
